We welcome new musical guests who don't mind the following guidelines:
Unfortunately, we don’t have the budget to pay our musicians yet (it’s something we hope to offer in the future). However, you can bring down a tip jar (our lunch and weekend crowd can be quite generous) and any promotional material for your next gig.
The acoustic properties
of the Market can be overwhelming at times. Therefore, horns and drums are not permitted during any inside performance. If you wish to play during our Outdoor Urban Market, which allows for a louder sound barrier, you may contact Tim Ellmann.
All other inquiries can be made by calling the Market Office at
414-336-1111
or by Email.

Visiting the Milwaukee Public Market? In addition to our 15+ specialty food vendors, we hope you will be able to check out one of our live musical guests. Performing periodically during lunch hours and on weekends, our loyal musicians are growing in popularity and talent. Check them out:
Martin Potter is a Market favorite. His lunchtime sessions help create the "gathering place" vibe that the Market has become known for. Covering such artists as Iron & Wine, Damion Rice, Bob Dylan and Wilco - to name a few - Martin is a crowd pleaser who has a great future ahead of him (he's only 17 years old!!). His sense of humor - (displaying a sign soliciting donations of "tips and/or fruit snacks") - adds to the experience you'll have while enjoying some of your favorite Market foods. For more info or to book Martin for an event, email him at martinjpotter@hotmail.com.

Cole Heinrich is a Finger-Style guitar player. A UW-Milwaukee graduate, he studied Music Performance and was a member of the UWM Guitar Organization. Finger-Style guitar is one of the more broad and individualistic styles of guitar music. However, Cole is never a disappointment and always attracts the stares of amazed music aficionados. His style consists of a mix of music from ragtime, blues, folk, and classical all played on a solo steel string acoustic. You can usually catch Cole playing at the Outdoor Urban Market on weekends, or occasionally at one of the many Market Events. For booking info or questions, Email: colhei@msn.com.
