We're hosting 3 wine venues to benefit veterans at Third Ward Art Festival!
The Milwaukee Public Market (MPM) will be an active participant in this year's Third Ward Art Festival
held on Broadway Avenue this coming Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
MPM will offer 12 different varietals of quality wine from 3 outdoor locations along Broadway Avenue during the festival. Proceeds from wine and beer sales will benefit the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative (MHVI).
"The Third Ward Association has done such a terrific job partnering with Ardur Productions to grow this festival into a highly anticipated event, " said Peg San Felippo, MPM’s volunteer coordinator. “We thought adding a versatile wine element would not only make it more enjoyable for attendees, but would also be a great way to raise money for charity.”
The public market will also serve local beer and water, the proceeds of which will also be donated to MHVI.
As the market gears up for its 10 year anniversary in October, we want to stay true to our founding principles of giving back to the community,” said MPM spokesperson, Paul Schwartz. “For the thousands of people who attend this event each year, our goal is to provide fine wines and local beer with the understanding that all the proceeds benefit our veterans.
Founded in 2008, the Milwaukee Homeless Initiative has helped over 1,500 veterans and their families in southeastern Wisconsin. For more information or to learn how to help MHVI, visit their website at www.mkehomelessvets.org.
